Administration Coordinator

The WDMO is seeking a highly organized individual with a business administration related background to join its team on a part-time capacity (15 hours per week). Experience in the tourism industry would be an asset. Working closely with a small team in a fast paced office environment, the successful candidate would be responsible for the following duties:

  • Perform daily and monthly bookkeeping and filing – accounts receivable/payable
  • Process biweekly payroll
  • Process payments for Revenue Canada/CADO/WHSCC
  • Prepare biweekly bank deposits
  • Prepare and help submit quarterly claims of eligible expenses to government partners
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and budgets for funding and summer student employment
  • Other duties as assigned

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Diploma in a business/administration related discipline, or an equivalent combination of related work experience and/or qualifications
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills in person and by phone/email
  • Detail-oriented, organized and comfortable using computers
  • Knowledge of Sage (Simply) Accounting software is an asset
  • Team contributor; assists with various projects/initiatives as they arise in a timely manner

The position is based at Go Western Newfoundland’s office in Corner Brook, NL.  Position is contractual and renewed bi-annually based on funding and performance.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
