Marketing Assistant

This position is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced office environment, gain a solid understanding of marketing in the tourism industry.  

​

The Marketing Assistant will work with the Regional Marketing Officer on various projects including but not limited to enhancing business listings for tourism operators on NewfoundlandLabrador.com and Google My Business, writing blogs, and creating social media posts for Go Western Newfoundland.

​

The Marketing Assistant will also provide administrative support to the Director of Travel Trade & Travel Media. This includes aiding with the facilitation of FAM (familiarization) tours — data entry, email inquiries, phone calls, making bookings, etc.

 

Qualifications:

• Must have excellent computer skills

• Professional when communicating

• Detail oriented and organized

• Team contributor

• Punctual and reliable

• Must be willing to use personal cell phone for business

 

Skills that will be considered an asset, but are not required:

• Strong writing skills

• Familiar with Canva

• Knowledge of provincial tourism industry
