Winter is a niche market with lots of potential in Western Newfoundland. We’ve tried to be concise but there’s so much to share about how we’re tapping into this market.
During winter 2023 with support from our partners at the Dept. of Tourism, Culture, Arts & Recreation and ACOA, we:
Listed over 300 events on WinterInWesternNL.com.
Added winter travel offers and packages to NewfoundlandLabrador.com.

Hosted FAMs (familiarization tours) to reach a wide audience interested in winter. This resulted in articles in Canadian Geographic and Forecast Ski Magazine.
Attended the Outdoor Adventure Show in Toronto during February 2023.
Printed and distributed 5,000 Winter Wayfinding Maps at visitor information centres (VICs), industry locations, and travel shows throughout Canada.
